| I can remember being intrigued with photos, how they were created, and the memories they brought with them since I was in my early teens; though I never did take the incentive to actually grow with that interest until early 2007 when I began to save for my first decent camera, which I bought on March 11, 2007 (Nikon D40). Two of my great passions in life are travel and photography. I enjoy life and finding the photograph hidden within each scene. Through my photography I want to not only document my own personal experiences, but also share with others the beauty and diversity of the world. Though I received my degree in Computer Science and enjoy the work in that field, I am much more passionate about photography and sharing with others how truly beautiful each place can be. I have enjoyed taking classes and workshops at the local colleges to not only improve my photographs, but also to partake in groups where photography is also a passion/interest for others. One class in particular that stands out is one that was taught by the wonderful Sahm Doherty-Sefton who was the first woman photographer on the masthead of Time magazine, where she remained for more than 25 years and has photographed a wide diversity of subjects. |
